University of La Laguna is a partner in IDEATION, a European-funded project dedicated to strengthening entrepreneurship in Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) through various training programs. These programs focus on pre-incubation of start-ups, crowdfunding, mentoring, and support actions for entrepreneurship and innovation. A group of students from the University of La Laguna, achieved success in the Hunger4Innovation competition in the Canary Islands.
The competition presented an innovation challenge: how to recruit young talent for these companies and retain them. Participants had the chance to work in a modern business environment alongside large companies, showcase their skills, learn innovative work methodologies (design thinking, agile, lean, etc.), build high-potential contacts, and collaborate on entrepreneurial projects with their peers and the support of these large companies.
